Help Young Marines to have funding restored

The entire Young Marines program faces closure, not just specific programs. Congress has not yet funded Young Marines for 2026. Without your help, our programs that benefit youth will be impacted. Contact your congressperson.

Help Young Marines to have funding restored

Here’s how you can make an impact:

Contact Your Member of Congress

In recent years, federal funding for the Young Marines was cut, threatening programs like SPACES, Leadership Schools, volunteer training, and Esprit magazine. With your help, we restored funding for FY 2025. As Congress works on FY 2026, we need your advocacy more than ever. Please reach out to your representatives, by email, phone, or personal visit, to share how the Young Marines has strengthened youth lives and communities across the USA, and to ask for continued support.

Spread the Word

Please contact your Congress person by mail, email, phone or personal visit. Tell the stories of how Young Marines has had impact.

If you wish, here’s a letter template you can use.

Here’s some sample wording you can use when contacting elected officials:

Dear [Representative Name],

The Young Marines program makes a real difference in my life/my community. It promotes leadership, mental strength, and a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Young Marines work together to honor veterans, serve our communities, and help youth grow into responsible citizens.
I urge you to support restoring funding and protect this vital program.

Thank you, [Your Name]
