 Things you need to know before joining:

* Youth members must be at least 8 years old and have not completed High School.
* At least one parent/legal guardian and all registered youths must attend an Orientation/Registration.


After the online application is completed, we will set up an orientation. After you attend a 1-hour orientation, you will need to pay all necessary fees (which are listed on the parents/guardians' tab). Once all paperwork and fees are submitted, the next step will be recruit training. Recruit training will take place at the Royalton Borough Building at 101 Northumberland St, Royalton, PA 17057. After successful completion of the 8-week recruit training, you will earn the title of Young Marine and can begin to earn rank, ribbons, and participate in all of our various activities. Orientation will last approximately 1-hour. Both the prospective recruit(s) and their /legal guardians must be present at the orientation. Items that must be brought to orientation are a copy of the recruit(s) birth certificate, medical insurance card, and social security card, a current physical form for the recruit, an official form of I.D. for the parent(s)/guardian(s), and proof of legal guardianship (if applicable). 


To become a Young Marine, all youth members must complete Recruit Training. Recruit Training is designed to teach the recruits the basics of what it means to be a Young Marine. Recruits will learn: 
  • Teamwork, Leadership, and Discipline
  • Close Order Drill
  • Military Terms and Jargon
  • Marine Corps Enlisted Rank Structure
  • Uniform Care and Maintenance
  • Physical Fitness
  • Military Customs and Courtesies
  • And More!


Recruit Registration Fees - $75.00
$75 is the annual national registration for the Young Marines program. Additional cost for uniforms and equipment will be provided on the Parents/Guardians tab.


Become an Adult Volunteer.
Registered volunteers in the Young Marines are adults age 18 and up who possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Every volunteer has been background checked and verified through character references.
