Welcome to the     Southern Maryland Young Marines!

We are the Southern Maryland  Young Marines. Our unit drills in Lexington Park, MD. We are proud to be a part of theour nation’s premiere, award-winnig program for boys and girls between the ages of eight and eighteen years of age.

The Young Marines promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle, and we rely heavily upon eaching and instilling the values of Discipline, Teamwork, and Leadership to ouths participating in our program. Our goal is to set a positive example to instruct and inspire and develop leadership skills in our youths.

Upon completion of recruit training, participants are issued their Young Marine uniform and are allowed to take part in numerous activities in our area and sometimes in combination with other units when possible.  

These activites include community service projects, encampments and team-building activities ad field trips to visit local and area sites of interest; Other activities include clear instuction about the dangers of drug abuse and helpful instruction on how to deal with peer pressure and other issues vital to our youths and America’s future. The Southern Maryland Young Marines are proud of their performance in the areas of community service and drug demand reduction activities, dedicating over 5,000 hours to these areas!
