Welcome to

Northwest Georgia Young Marines

What we do is important. Why we do it is more important.

Welcome to Northwest Georgia Young Marines, the premier youth leadership program in Paulding County, located in the scenic northwestern part of Georgia, just west of the vibrant metropolitan Atlanta area. Our mission is to inspire and empower young minds, fostering a sense of leadership, discipline, and camaraderie.

Meet Our Unit Command Staff

We are Northwest Georgia Young Marines, a dedicated team of volunteers passionate about shaping tomorrow's leaders.

With a focus on character development and community engagement, our program is open to children between the ages of eight (8) through the completion of high school or 18 years old.

We believe in nurturing the potential within each young individual, preparing them for a bright and successful future.

Our Unit Commander (UC) is Sgt. Getzie Lamar. Her Staff of Adult Volunteers consists of Mr. Jaime Maldonado, Executive Officer; Mrs. Jasmine Longwell, Adjutant; Mrs. Karen Maldonado, Finance Manager; and Miss Jada Lamar, Female Staff Advisor.

Our mission at Northwest Georgia Young Marines is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment that enables young individuals to realize their full potential as responsible citizens and future leaders.

We believe in instilling core values such as leadership, teamwork, and respect, creating a positive impact on their lives and the communities they serve.

We are committed to empowering our youth to live a healthy drug-free lifestyle through our anti-drug prevention initiatives.

Together, let's build a brighter future for the youth of Paulding County and beyond.
